Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2020
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 10/20/2020
Remembered first and foremost as an Edmonton Oiler, Wayne Gretzky spent nine seasons in his adoptive home, with a mind boggling 1,773 points scored during his tenure in Alberta. Honouring his time in Edmonton, this framed Oilers 1979-80 Sandow rookie-season replica jersey has been signed by the iconic legend. Produced in 2011 and mounted with the reverse of the jersey showing including Wayne’s famous “99”, an 8” x 10” photo of the superstar has been inserted beneath, with a name plaque and Oilers emblems along the base. The Great One has added a beautiful black marker signature to the first “9”, with no issues for the attractive autograph. A hologram from WGA has been affixed, framed to full dimensions of approx 42” x 47”, with a COA from WGA to accompany. Please note that due to the item’s size and/or weight, special shipping arrangements may be required.
