Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2020
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 10/20/2020
The final season of the glorious Original Six era, the New York Rangers would be led behind the bench by former Blueshirt netminder Emile “The Cat” Francis in 1966-67, and with Ed Giacomin’s 30 wins coupled with Rod Gilbert’s team-leading 28 goals, the Manhattanites would conclude the season in 4th place. This lot contains a great collection of signed 1966-67 Rangers player photos totaling 16, featuring 5 HOF members. At 8” x 10”, each matching team-issued black and white portrait photo sports the players name with Rangers’ logos along the base, with each (except one) signed in black marker and personalized to “Fred/Freddie”. Players include deceased HOF members Harry Howell and Boom Boom Geoffrion, along with fellow HOFers Ed Giacomin, Jean Ratelle and Rod Gilbert, along with Goyette, Berenson, Hillman, Nevin, Hadfield, Neilson, Maniago, Marshall, Kurtenbach, Brown and Earl Ingarfield. The signatures display well with no issues, with light to moderate wear to the photos including the odd wrinkle, crease or bent corner.
