Combining the artwork of noted collector Carlton McDiarmid along with the signatures of some of the greatest players in history, this lot features a collection of 53 signed HOF cards from 1983 and 1987 including 34 signed by deceased members (There are 22 different deceased players and 6 builders and referee/linesman that account for the collection along with another 17 different living players for a total of 45 different players signing with some duplication). At the standard hockey card size, the deceased signing players include Stanley, Kennedy, Bower (2), Bathgate, Worsley, Rayner, Pilote (2), Howell, Lindsay, Abel, Pronovost, Gadsby (2), Schmidt, Bouchard (2), Rerardon, Lach, Beliveau (3), Olmstead, Moore, Johnson and the Pocket Rocket, with the builders/referee/linesman to include Molson (2), Storey, Advari and two others. The living members include Bucyk, Parent, Hull, Giacomin, Keon, Clarke, Sinden, Francis (2), Hall, Cheevers, Ratelle, Ullman, Cournoyer and a few others. The majority of the signatures have been scripted in blue or black ink with no issues (one of the Molson signatures is weak with ink loss), with light handling wear to the cards themselves.
