Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2020

First named to the NHL All-Rookie Team during his Calder Memorial-winning season of 1986-87, Luc Robitaille would be familiar with receiving accolades and honours throughout his HOF career, with selection to eight different NHL All-Star Games. From just his second best-on-best showcase where he netted two points in a Campbell Conference victory over the Wales, 9-5, we have a Campbell Conference jersey that was worn by Robitaille at the 1989 NHL All-Star Game. Maska Air-Knit labeling with “54” sizing handwritten rests along the collar, with an embroidered CCM patch over the reverse bottom hem. Styled with a gorgeous NHL shield crest with “22” over the sleeves and verso in layered tackle twill, there is also a row of tackle twill stars that have been placed over the front and reverse lower band, with the 1989 All-Star Game crest atop the right shoulder. A signed LOA from Luc Robitaille will accompany this desirable All-Star garment.
Worn for just a single contest, the jersey exhibits a pair of faint stick marks near the team crest, with a few additional marks and light burns over each sleeve. There is also some pilling beneath the fight strap.
A portion of the sales from the Luc Robitaille personal collection will benefit the Echoes of Hope Foundation. Founded in 2007 by Stacia and Luc Robitaille, Echoes of Hope strives to awaken the spirit of hope in the lives of children, youth, and young adults in need by alleviating barriers and helping them reach their full potential.
