An Ottawa Senators draft selection in 2006, Nick Foligno spent five seasons in the nation’s capital before being traded to Columbus for Mark Methot, in 2012. The Buffalo native has served as the Jackets’ captain since 2015-16. This Columbus captain’s jersey was worn by Foligno in 2017-18, specifically in four contests, on Nov 27, 2017 vs Montreal, Dec 2, 2017 vs Washington, Dec 8, 2017 vs New Jersey and Dec 16, 2017 vs Carolina, and it’s been photo-matched to the Dec 2 match. An Adidas band with “56” sizing appears along the inside collar, with NHL and Adidas crests on the front and reverse necklines respectively. Styled with a textured multi-coloured Jackets’ team crest, “71” resides over the sleeves and verso in ventilated tackle twill, with alternate crests over each shoulder. The NHL centennial patch also resides on the right sleeve. The team patch has been placed on the inside hem along with a second patch from MeiGray (P00951), with the accompanying LOA from the Blue Jackets matching the MeiGray number.
Sporting a stick mark beneath the team crest, a few other random marks are also visible. We should also note that the cuffs have been customized, with each “brought-in” to shorten the circumference. Getty Image #884599556 (Dec 2 2017 vs Washington) has been matched to the stick mark directly beneath the team crest, and to its specific shape, length and consistency.
