Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Spring 2020
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/16/2020
A perennial attendee at the All-Star Game, Carey Price has made seven appearances at the NHL’s best-on-best showcase, with additional time spent winning every major tournament possible with Team Canada. The superstar has spent his entire career with Montreal, and he’s the first goaltender in history to secure the Ted Lindsay, Jennings, Vezina and Hart trophies all in a single season. This lot contains a collection of seven items signed by Price including a jersey, mask and five framed displays. First, the mask is a plastic Franklin model produced for street hockey with a Habs design, with Price signing over the forehead section, with no issues for the signature. Next, the jersey is a limited-edition 2009 All-Star Game replica produced by Reebok, with “XL” sizing and tackle twill team crest and numbers. Price has signed the reverse “3” in blue marker, with the signature bleeding into the material. The limited-edition number of “55/131” has been handwritten above, with a “Price Authentic” hologram added near the signature. Three of the framed displays feature an 8” x 10” photo signed by Price, matted with a name plaque and Habs pin. One has been signed in blue marker, with a Canadiens hologram numbered “446059” affixed (15” x 16”), another feature’s Price in a throwback jersey that has been signed in black and personalized (signature heavily faded), with an NHL hologram affixed (17” x 18”), while the third pictures both Price along with Andrei Markov, with each signing in blue marker, with no issues for the signatures and “Price Authentic” and NHL holograms affixed (14” x 18”). The final two frames include an example with an 8” x 10” photo of Price, with Habs crest above and name plaque below, with Price signing in silver, with the signature displaying well against the dark background. “Price Authentic” and NHL holograms have been added, with the COA also matted into the display (16 ½” x 27 ½”). Lastly, the final frame feature’s a 16” x 20” photo of Alexander Ovechkin and Price at the 2009 All-Star Game, with each signing in blue sharpie (Price added a personalization), with no issues for the signatures. A plaque listing the particulars has been inserted along with Habs and Caps pins, with the original advertising card for the signing the signatures were gathered at placed over the photo and signed by Price (26” x 27”). A pair of “Price Authentic” COAs will accompany.
