Assorted memorabilia collection from Gainey’s personal collection includes a Montreal Canadiens stained glass window panel featuring the team’s crest in the middle and Gainey’s number “23” in the upper left and bottom right corners. The piece which is in red, white and blue Montreal Canadiens colors measures approx. 15” x 16” with eyelets incorporated on the back upper edge for hanging purposes. A pair of signed post-career event jerseys includes a 6th Annual Glen Sather Classic signed jersey which is the model worn by the North America team at the 2000 NHL All-Star Game. Jersey is crested with Gainey’s number “23” and is signed on the upper back number “3” in black marker. An early-2000s OHL All-Star Game jersey also numbered with Gainey’s #23 is signed on the upper back number “3” as well. A signed LOA from Bob Gainey will accompany.
The 6th Annual Glen Sather Classic jersey has an affixed patch on the lower back naming the event and the date it took place with some wear/pilling showing in the white striping on the front of the size 56 jersey. The OHL All-Star game jersey is a size 52 and is signed by Gainey in blue marker though it must be noted that the letter “B” of “Bob” also appears in silver marker. Also included in this collection are; 1976 Roger Doucet Song of Glory record signed on the back sleeve by Doucet and dedicated to Gainey (sleeve has numerous creases), modern 11” x 14” photo of Gainey in action (the top left corner of the photo is cut-off) and a Molson Brewery 1786-1986 commemorative centennial stein in its original box.
