Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Spring 2020
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/16/2020
First drafted by Calgary in 1999, and re-entering the NHL Entry Draft in 2001 after failing to sign with the club, netminder Craig Anderson made his NHL debut with the Chicago Black Hawks in 2002-03, with the bulk of his career spent in the nation’s capital. From his Bill Masterton Trophy-winning season, we have a Senators jersey worn by the Illinois native during the first period of the 2017 NHL 100 Classic, vs Montreal, on Dec 16, 2017 (won by Ottawa 3-0). “58G” sizing appears on the inserted Adidas collar band, with NHL and Adidas crests over the front and reverse necklines respectively. Styled with the vintage-style large “O” team crest in layered tackle twill, “41” resides over the sleeves and verso in matching material, with the NHL 100 Classic crest over the right shoulder. A Fanatics crest has been placed over the inside hem, with a hologram from the company numbered “AA0017777” placed on the fight strap (with handwritten “1”).
Also included with the NHL 100 Classic jersey, we have two copies of the program from the contest, a printed game summary and a still-sealed LED lanyard. The single-period jersey exhibits very light expected game use, with a few faint marks visible over the striping band on the right sleeve.
