Guarding the crease of the Montreal Canadiens among legendary keepers George Hainsworth, Bill Durnan and Ken Dryden, we have a stick collection of 5, with each used by a one-time goaltender for the Canadiens. Included, we have examples from David Aebischer (Reebok model circa-2006), Frederic Chabot (KOHO 500 model late-1990s/early-2000s), Jeff Hacket (plain model autographed), Steve Penney (KOHO Pro model early-1980s) and Bunny Larocque (Canadien late-1970s). Each stick sports the original tape over the blade and upper shaft/knob, with each player’s name stamped to his respective stick. The Penney stick shows heavy use with numerous puck marks and wear, with the tape loose over the blade and shaft, with cracks to the paddle and a separation of the fiberglass at the toe. The Hackett stick shows no graphics, with heavy wear to the blade and puck marks, with a couple cracks beneath the tape. Hackett has signed the blade in marker. The Aebischer stick shows great use with numerous puck marks to the blade and shaft, with a few small chips to the paddle. The Larocque stick has “1” handwritten over the upper shaft, with the tape over the blade yellowed, with nice use showing with numerous puck marks visible. The Chabot stick shows light to moderate game use, with marks to the paddle and shaft, with the blade possibly re-taped at some point.
