Always lots to tell you about with a Tall Boy set, with this assembly dominated by crease-free VG+ and VG-EX examples. A smaller percentage of VG and EX cards are also present, along with a dozen lesser lights, while a PSA-slabbed trio includes the 2nd Series Checklist (EX-MT 6), 71-Shack (EX 5) and 98-Hicke SP (NM-MT 8 (OC)). Most of the 2nd Series SPs are in the VG+ to VG-EX range, with three specs of paper loss (front) however affecting 59-Pilote and a light crease/flaw rendering SP All-Stars Horton and Mikita VG. The first and last cards (1-Martin, 110-Hall AS) are among the dozen sub-VG creased examples (also 31-Mikita, 47-Crozier RC, 54-1st Series Checklist), with a spec of cardboard actually missing from the upper and lower left corners of 89-Howe and paper loss to one of the corners of 20-Hull SP (otherwise VG). Hey, we're naming the flaws but all-in-all, this is a decent 1964-65 Topps set that the new owner will enjoy perusing, whether it be in-hand or in six-pocket sheets, with legends Sawchuk, Plante, Beliveau, Richard, Mahovlich, Keon and other Hall of Famers contributing to the lineup. A unique hobby classic awaits the high bidder.
There are also three cards to be noted that have back damage; 41-Hillman (small "square" of scotch tape stain), 62-Hadfield and 76-MacGregor, the latter two with glue residue and paper loss.
