Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Spring 2020
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/16/2020
A graduate of Michigan Tech University, Riley Nelson spent almost a dozen seasons with the Colorado Eagles of the CHL, averaging better than a-point-a-game throughout his tenure. This Eagles captain’s jersey was worn by the Cranbrook native in 2013-14, his final season with the club. CCM labeling with “54” sizing is affixed to the collar, with team patches over each shoulder. Featuring “Colorado” placed diagonally across the chest in layered tackle twill, “12” appears over the sleeves and verso in matching material, with sponsorship patches over the upper front. Exhibiting just light wear, there are burns visible over the lower right sleeve. We should note that throughout the 2013-2014 ECHL regular season, team captains were asked to wear one jersey specifically for a ECHL Charity Auction. Each jersey has been authenticated by the ECHL-MGG Game-Worn Jersey Program, including this specimen. An LOA will accompany along with a COR from MeiGray and an 8" x 10" photo of Nelson.
