Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2020
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/26/2020
Only real novice collectors need to be informed why the first and last cards of vintage hockey card sets are oh so difficult to track down in high grade (we’ll let them figure it out(!)), with this offering sure to garner interest and up a 1957-58 Topps GPA. The Bruins’ Real Chevrefils, who had topped all NHL left wingers with 31 goals the previous season, had the distinction of being card #1 in ‘57-58, with this gorgeous (Pop 12) NM-MT 8 example edged by just one MINT 9 and two NM-MT+ 8.5s, out of the just over 100 Chevrefils cards to have been inspected by PSA over the years. Bright original popping colors, sharp corners and smooth edges will have you beaming when it arrives.
