Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Spring 2020

Prior to being rival coaches in the NHL, Punch Imlach and Toe Blake led their teams against one another in the Quebec Senior Hockey League and lead this SGC-slabbed contingent, with the cards long referred to as "Laval Dairy" but in fact manufactured by Quebec City's Bedard & Donaldson. Featuring Imlach standing in front of a Quebec Aces' stick rack, card #37 is the condition leader here at EX/NM 6, while EX 5 is the mark given to the Blake example, picturing Toe in a player's uniform, despite him not having been player-coach since 1949-50 (although he played one game in '50-51). Among the rest, former Montreal Canadien Tod Campeau (#70) is one of three cards at EX+ 5.5, the others being 28-Wray and 77-Bougie, while five are graded EX 5; 9-Kraiger, 21-Gagnon, 81-Bourassa, 88-Rousseau and 96-Clune. There are two of 97-Denis at VG/EX 4 and then five VG+ 3.5s, five VG 3s (5-Murdo McKay), two GOOD 2s and one FAIR 1.5. Three cards are actually from the "update" set; #s 38-Perreault and 52-Pepin are 1.5s and joined by a VG+ 3.5 of 55-St-Hilaire. Toe and Punch and the rest await your slabbed vintage card stash, with only minimal handling/wear/scratches to report in regards to the holders themselves.
