Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Spring 2020
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/16/2020
Backstopping the Atlanta Flames as the club transitioned to Calgary, Reggie Lemelin would spend parts of nine seasons with the franchise in Alberta, interrupted by 51 regular-season games played for the CHL’s Birmingham Bulls over two seasons, in 1979-80 and 1980-81. From his time in historic Birmingham, we have a Bulls jersey worn by the noteworthy netminder. A Russell Athletics label with “L” sizing graces the collar, with the vintage jersey measuring-out to roughly a size “50”. Styled with a rubberized Bulls team crest, striping bands, and uniform number (1), “Lemelin” appears over the affixed nameplate in single blue twill. Exhibiting nice game-use with washed-out puck marks visible over each sleeve, there is also wear to the rubberized striping bands, with some red discolouration in spots. There is also some minor staining over the upper left sleeve. An LOA will accompany.
