Selected by the Calgary Flames 25th overall at the 1987 NHL Entry Draft, Stephane Matteau dressed for six different clubs during his career, with his shining moments occurring in the 1994 Eastern Conference Finals against the New Jersey Devils, scoring twice in overtime in the series. This Florida Panthers jersey was worn by the Rouyn-Noranda native in 2002-03, his final NHL season. A label with “56” sizing is affixed to the collar, with CCM and NHL crests over the reverse neckline and bottom hem respectively. Featuring a tackle twill team crest with embroidered detailing, “32” appears over the sleeves and verso in layered twill, with the 2003 All-Star Game patch over the right breast. Nice game use is exhibited, with a couple stick marks over the lower front, with additional marks over each sleeve along with board burns over each elbow section, with a large slit over the right elbow. There is also an additional large burn beneath the reverse left shoulder, with the fight strap intact. The team patch resides on the inside hem near an example from MeiGray numbered “A01753”, and according to their population report, the garment is a "White 1st Regular Season" example.
