Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2020

Pekka Rinne definitely has a strong argument as the top NHL goalie of the past decade for his stellar play with the Nashville Predators. The 2017-18 Vezina Trophy winner was fourth in Calder Trophy voting as a Preds rookie in 2008-09, which he finished off by playing for Finland at the 2009 IIHF world championships in Switzerland. Rinne’s game-worn Finland No. 35 jersey is video-matched to a 2-1 overtime win against Slovakia on May 1. The black mark to the right of the team crest on the front shows at about the 16:30 mark of the first period. A thumb drive with the complete game is included, and there are a few screen grabs of that video match on the web listing. Nike 58G and IIHF tagging are in the back of the tie-neck.
“1965” and IIHF patches are sewn on the rear tail and Finnair “Fly Fast to Asia” sponsors patches are sewn on each shoulder. More game wear shows in a few marks above the stripes on the left sleeve.
