Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2020
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/26/2020
An institution in the province of Quebec and one of the greatest of all Montreal Canadiens, Maurice Richard is an eight-time Stanley Cup champion, with his entire legendary career played in a Habs sweater. This lot contains a trio of framed Richard displays, with each signed by the one and only Rocket. First, we have a photo on board (13 ¾” x 19 ¾”), with the black and white image especially well known, with Maurice signing in silver, with the signature flawless. The second display pictures the icon posing with the Stanley Cup (15” x 19” – with a gold-flake appearance to the photo), with the Rocket again signing in silver, with the black and white photo double-matted and framed to 22” x 26”, with just light wear to the frame. The final display is a limited-edition lithograph of Richard (19” x 28”), with the superstar signing over the bottom left in pencil near the limited-edition number of “175/500”, matted and framed to 27” x 36”. There is damage to the frame, with all four sides loose.
