Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2020
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/26/2020
Respected throughout the hockey world for both his tremendous ability and gentlemanly behaviour, Jean Beliveau was paid tribute by New York's Madison Square Garden Hall of Fame and was presented with this magnificent plaque (11" x 17") and Seiko Quartz watch, on June 2, 1982. The inscription on the metal plate beneath Beliveau's handsome image mentions him as the inspirational leader of the Canadiens' great teams of the 1950's and ‘60s and reels-off some of his career accomplishments; 10 Stanley Cups, 10-time NHL All-Star, and more, while engraving on the back of the watch mentions the MSG HOF, Beliveau's name and the "8-2-82" date. In excellent condition, these beauties will be accompanied by a LOA signed by Jean Beliveau, along with a program from the evening.
