Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2020
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/26/2020
Instrumental in the use of the lighting system of hockey’s greatest venue, this blueprint was produced in 1966 for the Montreal Forum, with specifications listed for the arena’s cameras and lighting system. At 21” x 36” and on especially thin stock, a number of coordinates are pinpointed along the ice surface, with handwritten notes placed beneath. The engineer who drew the blueprint is listed, along with the individual and company that supplied the lighting data, with the date of “Jan 31/66”. The Forum would see major renovations in 1968, forever closing to the hockey community in 1996. The blueprint exhibits expected wear commensurate with its former use, with numerous creases, toning and edge wear, with a bit of water staining also visible.
