Winning a pair of Conference championships in the early-to-mid-1980s, the Philadelphia Flyers said goodbye to the old guard of Bobby Clarke, Reg Leach and Bill Barber during the era, with new talent reinvigorating the City of Brotherly Love, with the additions of Brian Propp, Tim Kerr and Pelle Lindbergh. This Flyers jersey hails from the early-1980s, with use attributed to Al Hill in 1981-82 (he wore #15 for the Flyers in 1981-82 and played 41 games), and Mark Taylor (the grandson of legendary “Cyclone” Taylor) in the 1982-83 pre-season. A Sandow SK label with handwritten “50” sizing is affixed to the collar directly above a laundering tag, with a Sandow SK emblem rubberized over the reverse hem. Styled with the classic Flyers’ team crest fully administered in layered tackle twill, “15” appears over the sleeves and verso in matching oversized material, with “Taylor” across the affixed mesh nameplate in single white twill.
Sporting a few large stick marks over the front and right sleeve, there are also faint burns over each sleeve, with a bit of stray threading along the top of the team crest.
