Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2020
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 10/20/2020
Fleer's return to the baseball card market in 1981 saw the firm choose then-Hall of Fame-bound stars Pete Rose and Reggie Jackson to appear on display box tops. Well-preserved box here includes 38 (17-card) packs, with light scuffs/paper loss visible on the left panel and light wear to the bottom (corners, edges). The BBCE logo denies the full view of the orange price sticker on the front panel. Meanwhile, carrying more weight is an '84 Fleer (36-count) box with a one-time $50 price tag stuck on the front panel. A top-to-bottom crease and indentation on the box top, about an inch from the right edge is to report, as well as light corner/edge wear. Both have BBCE's labels and holograms on the shrink-wrap on the undersides of the boxes. A '91 Fleer Ultra 36-ct. box, not sealed/certified and with wear/tear is a throw-in bonus.
