Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2020
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/26/2020
The only graduate of the US Naval Academy to ever play in the NBA, David Robinson is a 10-time NBA All-Star, with a pair of championships won with the Denver Spurs, in 1999 and 2003. The Key West native is also a two-time Olympic gold medalist, and a Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame inductee as a member of the 1992 United States Olympic basketball team. Celebrating his Olympic accomplishments, this limited-edition framed Team USA basketball jersey display has been signed by the 1995 NBA MVP. Placed with the jersey's reverse showing including “Robinson” and “5”, the all-star center has signed in black marker, adding the names of his fellow “Dream Team” teammates, with the signature and added inscriptions displaying well. Framed to full dimensions of just under 42” x 47”, this conversation piece is ready for display. Please take note that due to the item’s size/weight, shipping may be substantial.
Hand-numbered “1/1”, a hologram has been affixed along with a sticker from JSA numbered “W728576”, with the COA affixed to the reverse. We should also note some light wear to the frame including a small ding.
