Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2020

Definitely something different and ultra-intriguing here, with a Quaker Oats Jacques Plante starring in a "mixed" 1955-56 set that features very few creases, but with all cards affected by scotch tape and/or stains. A very light subtle crease is in the Plante, rising up from the crossbar just above Jacques' trapper to the top edge, but nice crisp cardboard (throughout) is to report and barely any wear to the red "strips". Toning (Rocket Richard) and vertical top-to-bottom strips of toning (Beliveau, Harvey, Geoffrion, others) are to note, with Quaker Oats most notables being Oldtime Greats (4 Leafs, 3 Canadiens), Blake (MC) and Beliveau and Plante action cards. Please see our website for more details and photos - '55-56 cards have much to offer...in any condition.
Joining Plante in the Quaker Oats lineup are, in numerical order, #s 6-Klukay, 8-Morrison, 20-Harris, 22-Jackson, 23-Broda, 25-Drillon, 31-Pratt, 40-Curry, 49-Johnson, 51-Meger, 61-Leduc, 64-Reardon, 66-Reay, 67-Blake, 69-Hugh Beats Hodge, 76-Curry Scores Again, 71-Plante Is Protected and 77-Jammed On The Boards. Two have minor stains on the back but all other backs are problem-free and legible. Ditto for the regular Parkies, with the exception of a half dozen that have gum/wax stains, including 46-Bouchard, 57-Morenz and 59-Hainsworth, with 63-Durnan miscut (+ diamond cut) and 60-Mantha the only card with obvious creases. All sorts of possibilities with these classic collectibles which have had but one owner.
