Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2020

A near perfect example of Ken Dryden's desirable O-Pee-Chee rookie card is on the auction block here, with card #45 earning appealing NM-MT 8 recognition at PSA. It was discovered in a pack a few months after Dryden became an instant hero by first backstopping the Canadiens to an unlikely upset of the record-breaking Boston Bruins in the first round of the 1971 Stanley Cup playoffs and then later that spring enabling team captain Jean Beliveau to hoist Lord Stanley's trophy one last time as Montreal took out Chicago in the finals. As of this writing, close to 900 Drdyen RCs have been inspected by PSA since its inception, with less than 10% (83) scoring higher than NM-MT 8. A terrific addition to your Dryden/RC/1971-72 collection this one will be.
