Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2020
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/26/2020
An attractive keepsake and especially appealing to those who covet western or equestrian themes, we have a magnificent trophy that was originally presented to legendary Montreal Canadiens superstar Jean Beliveau. At 11” in height, a well designed chrome steed sits above a 7 ½” x 7 ½” finished black wooden base, with an engraved plaque over the base listing the particulars in French, including “Hommage a M. Jean Beliveau” (Tribute to Jean Beliveau), “Dimanche le 11 janvier 2004” (Sunday January 11th 2004), and “Hippodrome de Montreal”. The Montreal Hippodrome was known as the Blue Bonnets Raceway prior to 1995. Sporting minimal wear, the trophy displays beautifully. An LOA from the Beliveau family will accompany.
