Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2020
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/26/2020
The first overall selection at the 1997 NHL Entry Draft, Joe Thornton has won both the Art Ross and Hart Memorial trophies, with six NHL All-Star Game appearances made in his career thus far. We have a Boston Bruins jersey worn by the superstar in 1998-99, just his second season in the NHL. Starter labeling with a “56-R” size swatch sit affixed to the collar, with embroidered NHL and Starter crests over the reverse bottom hem. Styled with the famous spoked-B team crest fully administered in tackle twill, the white V-neck has been accented with layered sleeve and verso numbers in matching material, with alternate crests over each shoulder along with the Bruins 75th anniversary crest over the right breast. A COA from the Bruins will accompany.
A few marks are present throughout, with large team repairs over the lower front, on the upper and lower right sleeve and near the left sleeve’s number, with a few additional small repairs over the reverse. A few of the repairs are also material-backed.
