Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2020

An instant near master set from 1972-73 or excellent dealer inventory is up for grabs here, with the inserts fine complements to the cards, the latter almost entirely crease-free and dominated by EX-MT to NM examples. Okay, some are "only" EX and EX+, (showing up more in the lower numbers), but not much handling is exhibited. The Bobby Hull Jets card (VG-EX) and some of the checklists are condition exceptions. The Player Crest set of 22 is mostly NM, while 26 of 28 Team Canada cards average EX+ with about half with (mostly subtle) factory prick marks. Some will say we saved the best for last as elusive Team Emblem inserts include both Atlanta and the Islanders, along with all 13 WHA representatives - wow. Condition is also alluring, with more details and photos on our website.
The team emblems average EX-MT, with just intermittent corner touches to report, with an NHL logo lesser at VG. Henderson and Ellis are required to complete the Team Canada set, while the checklist lowdown is as follows: #s 6 and 19 are unmarked and EX-MT, with an additional #19 having two boxes colored-in and otherwise VG. There are two of #190 (NM and EX-MT) and both variations of #334. "More WHA Hockey Stars" is VG, with the other VG-EX. ....**After our initial writing we noticed subtle light surface wrinkles in the second-year Guy Lafleur card.
