Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Spring 2019
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/18/2019
From the sophomore release that would culminate in the post-war baseball card boom soon to be dominated by Topps, we have a 1949 Bowman Duke Snider rookie card featuring the 22-year old, with this example encapsulated and graded FR 1.5 by PSA. An eight-time NL All-Star, Snider would bridge the relocation gap, playing for the Dodgers’ franchise in both Brooklyn and later Los Angeles, with HOF enshrinement occurring in 1980. The offered specimen exhibits expected wear including rounded corners, with a bit of surface loss over the “D” of “Duke” on the reverse.
