Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Spring 2019
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/18/2019
A two-time gold medal winner at the World Championships with Russia, Evgeni Malkin was awarded the Calder Trophy for his outstanding inaugural NHL season in 2007, with seven All-Star Game appearances made thus far for the Magnitogorsk native, along with a trio of Stanley Cup championships. From his Art Ross and Hart Memorial-winning season of 2011-12, we have a stick used by Malkin. An Easton RS model with “71 Gino” factory graphics over the upper shaft, the stick retains its original white tape on the blade and black on the handle/knob. There is also a factory code on the underside of the shaft, along with a serial number and bar code. Light use is exhibited, with wear to the taped section of blade including puck marks on both sides, with a few marks and abrasions to the lower shaft. There is also a hologram from Double Deke Hockey affixed to the underside of the lower shaft.
