This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/18/2019
For those seeking desirable HOF signature specimens including a few harder to locate examples, we have a wonderful collection of 39 high-quality autographs, with over 25 Hall of Fame members featured including 19 deceased. First, we have signed letters from HOF builders T.P Gorman (1950) and G.A. Leader (1949), followed by an index card signed by Red Dutton and a book page autographed by Tommy Ivan. Next, we have multiple enlarged hockey card images signed by Maurice Richard (6 – with 2 different) Yvan Cournoyer (4) and Jean Beliveau (7 – with 2 different), and a multi-signed photo with Elmer Lach, Toe Blake, Kenny Reardon, Butch Bouchard and The Rocket (3 ½” x 5”). Some of the additional signers in the collection include Howe, Hull, Bourque, Howell, Geoffrion, P. Esposito, Worsley, T. Johnson and others.
The Richard, Cournoyer and Beliveau signed hockey card pictures range from approx 4” x 6 ½” to 5” x 7”, while the Gorman (“The Auditorium” Ottawa letterhead – signed in fountain pen, with punched binder holes and heavy toning) and Leader (PCHL letterhead – signed in green ink, light toning) are both roughly 8 ½” x 11”. The Dutton index card is 3” x 5” with “NHL 1926-1946” added, with additional index cards signed by Howell and Henri Richard. The Ivan book page is from a HOF guide (8 ½” x 10 ½”), signed near his photo in blue ink with “My Best Wishes”. This is followed by a second similarly-sized HOF book page signed by Charlie Rayner, a small black and white photo signed by Geoffrion, a postcard signed by The Rocket, magazine covers/pages signed by Andy Bathgate, Phil Esposito and Bobby Hull, with a multi-signed example from Robitaille, Dionne and Cardon, along with one by Ray Bourque and Rick Middleton. There is also Dimanche pages signed by Lafleur and H. Richard, an 8” x 10” colour photo signed by Lach, a lined page signed by Frank Buckland and more. The majority of the signatures are flawless examples, with just light to moderate wear to the material itself.
