Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Spring 2019

Commemorating the men that roam the nets, we have an instant collection of vintage goal masks totaling 8, with these examples ready to make a formidable display. Included, we have a pair of fiberglass models, with one featuring an orange and yellow colour scheme along with a white cage, with the strapping, head plate and most of the padding intact, with a handwritten note on one of the pads along with the date of “1982”, with just light to moderate wear. The second fiberglass example is from the 1970s, more vintage in design, with small eye and mouth holes and a red and yellow colour scheme. Most of the strapping is intact, with a Cooper plastic back plate and most of the interior padding. Heavy wear to the fiberglass is present, with a faint name handwritten over the forehead. Next, we have four plastic models similar in design, all with moderate to heavy wear and intact strapping, followed by a pair of fiberglass-style early-1970s masks, with one having a maple leaf painted design and a torn strap, the other, a red, green and blue paint job, along with part of a Cooper helmet used as a back plate. There’s heavy wear to the surface, with most of the padding intact.
