From the season that witnessed participation in his fourth career NHL All-Star Game, we have a of pair photo-matched skates worn by 2018 Stanley Cup champion, Alex Ovechkin. Custom CCM Crazy Light models with Tuuk Lightspeed II blade holders and bright yellow laces, “Misha” and “Sergey” appear along the top side of each boot (Alex’s brothers), with “8” decals affixed to each underside and his styled “8” logo embedded within each tongue. Nice use is exhibited, with wear to each boot including cuts, scratches and abrasions to the rubber toe sections, with additional marks over each blade and holder. Ovie would net 53 goals in just 79 games in 2010-11, with this his third consecutive season topping the 50-goal plateau.
Getty Image #109383761 from Feb 17th 2011 has been matched to the round spot of wear on the outside heel of the right skate, as well as to the two marks on the blade holder on the left skate. This is followed by Getty Image #109865790 from March 6th, which is matched to the spots of wear on the back heels of both skates, as well as to a number of marks on the blade holders. Furthermore, Getty Images #109583586 (Feb 25th) and #109703374 (March 1st) have both been matched to the round spot of wear on the outside heel of the right skate, as well as to two marks on the blade holder.
