One of the NHL’s all-time greatest goal scorers, Marcel Dionne enjoyed a lengthy 18-season career, and although he spent multiple seasons with the Rangers and Red Wings, the Little Beaver is best remembered as a highly offensive threat for the Los Angeles Kings. We have a great collection of Dionne items, with a pair of signed skates worn by the Drummondville native during his time in California in the 1980s, along with a pair of sticks, with one used in 1982-83 – a season that witnessed an impressive 107 points, along with an example that was employed by Dionne circa 1984-85.
The skates are size 6 CCM Super Tacks with clear Tuuk blade holders, with stickers with “Dionne” handwritten affixed to each underside boot. Showing great use with intact laces and heavy wear/rubbing to the leather in spots, each has been dedicated and signed on the outer side in white, with both inscriptions/signatures heavily worn/faded. A 3” x 5” photo of Dionne signing the skates will accompany. The stick used in 1982-83 is a CCM PPLM-1001, with “16” handwritten over the upper shaft and a date code of “30 Aout 1982” along the underside. The original white tape is in place over the handle and blade, with good use exhibited, with wear and marks to the blade and lower shaft. Dionne has signed over the front side heel in black marker, and the signature displays well, with light fading. The stick that saw action circa 1984-85 is a Canadien Fiberglass model with the original white tape in place over the blade and handle, with light to moderate use exhibited, with wear to the blade and lower shaft including some paint transfer.
