Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Spring 2019
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/18/2019
Representing the nation’s capital and established during Canada’s Confederation centennial in 1967 – hence the name, the Ottawa 67’s have claimed three OHL championships, with five Memorial Cup finals appearances including a pair of titles, in 1984 and 1999. We have a 67’s jersey that originates from the early-to-mid-1970s, with a few different players donning the number #5 sweater, including Terry French in 1970-71, Norm Martel in 1971-72, Ian Turnbull in 1972-73, Brian Harrington in 1973-74 and Peter Marchuk in 1974-75. A Wilson label with “46” sizing is affixed to the inside of the tie-neck collar on the durene garment, with a layered black, white and red tackle twill team crest utilized, with the aforementioned “5” over the sleeve and verso in matching material.
Great use is exhibited, with marks, material runs and a pair of small holes over the front, along with additional marks, burns and paint transfer over the sleeves. There is also a repair over the left sleeve and some rust-colour staining within the collar and over the left breast.
