Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Spring 2019
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/18/2019
Sporting the best career points-per-game for any American player (1.17), Pat Lafontaine is a veteran of over 800 NHL contests, with five All-Star Game appearances made between 1988 and 1993. From the earlier part of his career in the mid-to-late-1980s, we have a helmet worn by the HOFer, and it’s been signed. A CCM model in solid white with intact visor, strapping and interior padding, Islanders decals are present over each side, with “16” in blue decals over the reverse (the “1” is missing with just the glue residue and outline remaining). Scratches are present throughout along with additional wear to the visor, with the interior padding remaining clean with no soiling. Pat has signed over the forehead in blue marker adding his number, with a few areas of wear/ink loss due to handling.
