Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Spring 2019
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/18/2019
Decent little stack of 1955-56 Parkhurst cards here is low on creases and offers some intrigue, with three examples actually "green back" Quaker Oats versions, with most entries in the VG to VG+ neighborhood. Corner/edge wear, and not creases, tends to be the grade-lowering flaw. Most notable, in numerical order, are 1-Lumley, 4-Armstrong, 13-Cullen RC, 18-Duff RC (VG+), 20-Harris RC, 21-Chabot, 23-Broda (VG-EX), 24-Primeau, 26-Conacher, 33-Clancy, 34-Day, 45-Harvey (G), 46-Bouchard, 63-Durnan (ST), 64-Reardon, 72-Rocket Roars Through (G+) and 77-Jammed On The Boards. A similar-looking 71-Plante Is Protected has evidence of red touch-up at one corner, while lesser lights in the F-G range are 25-Drillon, 28-Apps, 29-Kennedy and 32-Cotton. Swell bonuses are the Quaker Oats cards, all VG examples; 10-Sloan, 16-Cahan and 62-Siebert. Cards not already mentioned are numbers 8, 14, 16, 17, 19, 41, 47, 49, 51, 61, 69 and 76.
