Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Spring 2019
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/18/2019
Fired into the back of the net by one of the most prominent modern Habs, we have a puck used to score a goal during the 2008 Stanley Cup playoffs by longtime Montreal captain Saku Koivu, along with four pucks that all saw action at Caandiens practices. The Koivu puck was used by the Finn to plot a goal against the Flyers in Game 3 of the second round, on April 28th, with assists drawn by Markov and Higgins. It was Koivu’s 15th career playoff goal, with the puck sporting a hologram affixed from MeiGray. There is a slice across the Stanley Cup logo, with the puck in otherwise excellent condition. The practice pucks all hail from 2014-15, and were used before matches against the Rangers on Oct 24th, the Black Hawks on Nov 4th, the Bruins on Nov 13th and the Sharks on Dec 9th. Each show light wear from use, with holograms affixed to each and matching COAs from the Canadiens to accompany.
