Awesome mid-1970s Canadian major junior durene sweater is a WCHL Kamloops Chiefs game-worn jersey. Founded as the Vancouver Nats in 1971, the Chiefs spent four seasons in Kamloops from 1973-74 through 1976-77 before relocating to Seattle, with Stanley Cup champion Ryan Walter among its alumni. This colorful tie-neck beauty with team repairs and its original Rawlings size 46 tagging in the back of the neck sports No. 3, which was worn by Dave Okrainecin in ‘73-74 and ‘74-75, Craig Topolinisky in ‘75-76 and Ryan Hatfield in ‘76-77. The fantastic orange, green, white and black multi-twill team crest on the front is wonderfully preserved and the canvas fight strap loop remains inside the back.
There are two long vertical team repairs on the rear tail and team repairs to the double-twill No. 3 on the left sleeve, with a six-inch long team repair to its right with some red paint transfer near the bottom of the number. More game wear shows in board burns on the lower left sleeve and marks on the tails. There is a reddish-brown spot stain in the middle of the white twill of the double-twill No. 3 on the back.
