Exhibiting hardly any handling and described by our consignor as an uncirculated set is this somewhat fascinating and definitely educational "Indian Trading Card" issue, released by Fleer in 1959. Divided into subsets which tell the story of the Plains, Woodland, Northwest, Southwest, Pacific Coast and Alaskan (Eskimo) Indians, the cards here are crease-free beauties with numerous apparent grading possibilities, although we're not sure how the pro graders will see some of the edges, notably top or left edges, which look to have been affected in the production/cutting process and difficult to describe. Additionally, the first three numbered cards, including #1-Sitting Bull, have an extended tiny tip at the upper right corner - imperfectly cut. Geronimo and a few famous Indian Chiefs are featured, with original gloss striking the beholder. A terrific and intriguing set to add to a non-sport card stash.
