Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Spring 2019

A second-round draft choice of the Boston Bruins in 1997, Ben Clymer spent parts of seven seasons in the NHL, with the bulk of that time in Washington. We have a Capitals jersey worn by the Minnesota native in 2006-07, his final NHL season, where he appeared in 66 games. A CCM label with “58” sizing is affixed to the collar, with NHL and Reebok crests on the bottom hem and reverse necklines respectively. Styled with the Caps tackle twill team crest that saw use for a decade from 1997 to 2007, “27” appears over the sleeves and verso in stylized, oversized numbers, with matching alternate crests over each shoulder. Sporting nice game use, board burns are present over each lower sleeve along with numerous team repairs, with more than a dozen near and over the right elbow. There is also a small hole resulting from a board burn over the right sleeve. The team patch of this “Black Set 1” jersey sits on the inside hem, with an LOA to accompany.
