Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Spring 2019

Seeing ice time with his father while playing for both Houston and New England/Hartford, defenceman Mark Howe first came to prominence as a 15-year old while leading the Detroit Jr. Red Wings to the US Junior Championship in 1971. Originating from his time with the Detroit Juniors, we have an attractive Red Wings jacket. In solid Motown red, a label from “JMC” in Detroit graces the collar along with a size “L” fly tag. Featuring a partially embroidered Red Wings team crest over the left breast with “Junior Wings” embroidered beneath, a partially detached swatch with “MH” affixed in small tackle twill letters is visible just above the waist band on the right side. With just some age toning to the red material along with a couple small and minor stains, the vintage jacket displays beautifully.
