Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Spring 2019
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/18/2019
Born in Winnipeg during the first decade of the 20th century, Art Coulter spent numerous seasons during his Hall of Fame career with both Chicago and New York, earning Second All-Star Team status in 1935, 1938, 1939 and 1940. Despite being Canadian, the two-time Stanley Cup champion would also enlist with the US Coast Guard during the Second World War, starring on the Coast Guard Cutters hockey team with fellow Hall members Frank Brimsek and Johnny Mariucci. We have a puck signed by Coulter. A Trench model Rangers example in flawless condition, the 1938 Blueshirts-captain has signed just above the team logo in silver, with the signature displaying beautifully. Coulter would pass away in Alabama in 2000 at the age of 91. A sticker from JSA numbered “H09875” has been affixed to the reverse, with a matching Basic Certification to accompany.
