Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Spring 2019
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/18/2019
A veteran of over 1,000 NHL games, Tomas Plekanec was originally selected 71st overall by the Montreal Canadiens in the 2001 NHL Entry Draft, spending parts of 15 seasons with the Habs. We have a pair of gloves issued to Plekanec during the mid-2010s, along with a signed limited-edition Sher-Wood stick. The gloves are also Sher-Wood models in Habs colours, with “Plekanec” embroidered over each wrist guard and “14” embroidered over each thumb protector. In gorgeous new condition, the manufacturer’s labels are still affixed to the right glove. The stick is similar to the type used by Tomas circa 2015-16, with graphics again in Habs colours, with “Plekanec” over the upper shaft along with the limited-edition number of “11/24”. The Longtime Canadien has signed across the blade in silver, with the signature displaying beautifully.
