Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Spring 2019
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/18/2019
Pondering such questions as “What is the International Ice Hockey Federation”, “Are the Olympics the same as the World Hockey Championships or are they different” and “Why send bad players when we have the best in the world”, we have an official report from 1971 produced for Hockey Canada by noteworthy consulting firm Martin Goldfarb. Contemplating Hockey Canada’s participation in the Olympic Games, the 67-page duotang-style booklet contains a number of pertinent topics, with over 500 individuals polled from Vancouver, Winnipeg and Toronto, along with both French and English Montrealers. The report is telling, as Canada would not send a team to compete in Olympic hockey until 1980. There is some minor creasing along with a few small edge tears to the soft cardboard cover, with just general handling wear and light toning to the interior pages.
