Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2019
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/26/2019
Fresh off the greatest dynasty the NHL has ever witnessed, the Montreal Canadiens featured a number of Hall of Fame players during their transition into the early-1960s. We have a stick that has been team-signed by the circa 1962-63 Canadiens. Most likely signed at training camp, the full-size Western Hockey League stick has graphics over both sides of the shaft, with “8” and “McNab” over the upper shaft. 21 have signed one side in blue ballpoint, including HOFers Plante, Reardon, Johnson, Geoffrion, Richard, Beliveau and coach Toe Blake. The signatures display especially well with very little to no fading including the Plante, with just very light handling wear to the stick itself. Two different holograms have been affixed, with an LOA that matches one to accompany.
