The last NHL netminder in history to captain his squad, Bill Durnan was also one of the only ambidextrous goaltenders in the game, able to catch the puck or handle his stick with either hand. The Toronto native also won an impressive six Vezina Trophies during his tenure. We have an especially rare circa-1948 “Pep” cereal pin of the 1950 First All-Star Team member. In stunning condition with a well centered image and excellent clarity, there is a pair of tiny blemishes visible at the top of each pad, with just a few spots over the reverse. This may arguably be the best surviving example of this highly desirable pin.
