Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2019
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/26/2019
Some of the post-expansion era's most prolific and electrifying players, both forwards and defencemen, combine here for an intriguing encapsulated stash, with KSA doing the inspecting/grading. The all-O-Pee-Chee rookie card lineup is led by a Wayne Gretzky RC slabbed ENM 6, with light corner/edge wear and not-great centering to note. A 1971-72 Guy Lafleur rookie was awarded an inviting mark of NM+ 7.5, while the trio of key cards from '70-71 feature Gilbert Perreault and Bobby Clarke at ENM+ 6.5 and Darryl Sittler at EX 5, with pleasing centering on all three. The condition leader at MINT 9 is Steve Shutt's '74-75 entry, while the rookie of fellow sniper extraordinaire Mike Bossy comes in at NM 7. Also at NM 7 and with less-than-perfect centering is Mark Messier's '80-81 RC. Legendary d-men Ray Bourque (EX 5) and Paul Coffey (NMM 8) complete the group, one that features men who gave hockey fans oh so many wonderful moments, the memories to live on forever.
