Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2019
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/26/2019
This broken twig saw action in the hands of Russian superstar Viacheslav "Slava" Fetisov during the early Nineties. The battered Koho is now in two pieces with a good portion of the black-taped blade broken completely off and held to the shaft with elastics. Whether the damage occurred during a shot or after a moment of frustration we will never know! Stamped "FETISOV" on the front with a white cloth tape knob and more tape spiraling down the shaft, as was Slava's style. Viacheslav Fetisov played for CSKA Moscow for 13 seasons before joining the National Hockey League, where he played with the New Jersey Devils and won back-to-back Stanley Cups with the Detroit Red Wings.
