Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2019

Another pieced-together Parkhurst entry to tell you about here, with Johnny Bower's rookie card among the keys. Card #65 is an attractive/pleasing VG+ example, with a subtle and light side-to-side crease, below Johnny's chin, the grade-lowering flaw. Two other biggies have been inspected and encapsulated by pro graders, with 41-Gordie Howe slabbed VG-EX 4 by PSA and KSA giving a VG 3 verdict to 33-Terry Sawchuk. The rest exhibit moderate handling and wear but no real abuse and mostly range from G to VG. Among the most noteworthy are 1-McNeil (G), 3-Beliveau (F), 7-Richard (VG), 8-Geoffrion (G+) and three Plante action cards; #s 97 (G), 98 (VG) and 99 (G+), with 100-Sawchuk Stops Boom Boom at F. Half a dozen cards have light back damage, including 31-Horton (otherwise G), with an equal amount markedly short or narrow, suggesting trimming. Definitely trimmed are 14-Harvey and 82-Sasakamoose RC, with the latter one of 17 cards that feature a "Lucky Premium" back. To mention are 34-Pronovost and 73-Camille Henry RC, both VG. Various degrees of toning are also to mention/consider.
