Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2019
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/26/2019
A total of 21 FIFA World Cup tournaments have taken place since the inaugural competition in Uruguay in 1930, with Brazil sporting the most titles, but with the European sides currently dominating. Produced by Lladro in 1982-83, we have a World Cup trophy porcelain figurine. At 13 ½” in height and modeled after the prestigious trophy, this wonderfully executed creation was sculpted by Salvador Furió, with “FIFA World Cup” in raised letters over the base. Cobalt blue stampings appear over the underside, including one for Lladro, the other for Sport-Billy. Remaining in stunning high-grade, as gorgeous as the day it was produced, this wonderful World Cup display piece will be accompanied by a purchase invoice.
